Seattle Boat Show 2008

The Center for Wooden Boats. I enjoyed this place the most.

This beauty was from 1914.

We did a lot of this. So much in fact, I can't remember any of them but this Wauquiez Centurion (it says so on the paper in the galley.

This was an example of the beautiful woodwork aboard this boat, of which I cannot remember.

The aft berth of yet another nice boat.

A really nice nav station outfitted by an airline pilot.

A portion of another bert on an unknown boat.

A partial scene from Lake Union. It was easy to tell where the sailboats were moored.

Island Packet - my favorite boat. It was a used one but very classy. Too classy for me and I had to get off it before I tried to find some kind a way to finance it.

Skipper Sue and I on the concourse level of Qwest Field Convention Center. There were so many boats in the convention center and out on the field. I really was getting my fill of boats. I was only interested on sailboats and dinghies and there were a massive amount of powerboats showing their stuff. On the upper level , there were booths from so many manufacturers of every imagineable boat related product. There was even a booth selling knots. I bought a couple of bowlines and a square knot for later.

Skipper Sue with Migael Sherer, author of "A Cruising Guide to Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands Olympia to Port Angeles". This is a great reference book for your cruise. Migael gave a talk on "Living Aboard" that was an eye opener and very informative about the aspects of living aboard a boat.
