Aft Sole

The aft sole suffered some damage and seperated from the hull.

At first it seemed to be fairly simple but I found that the shore power cable and antenna lines were pinched under the sole, holding it off from the hull.

After cutting out the broken glass, the extent of the damage was revealed. This should be fun to reshape.

First step was to lay down some glass under the damage and soak it with resin then wedge the sole down to the hull. I'll reinforce the back with some more layers of glass before finishing the front.

After adding color to the epoxy, you can hardly see the patch job. This will all get ground down, faired out and asthetically rendered.

A little carpet, a shiny hatch cover and you can't even tell that I'm not done fixing it yet.
