Blake Island to Port Orchard 2007

Sunrise on Blake Island.

Early morning as we are preparing to depart. Ah, who am I kidding. I was up early and the morning was incredible for November day, cold and dry.

One of the bennies of being skipper - sleeping in as long as your bladder allows.

Since I was up early, I started brushing up on my sailing skills. How to build a rum storage tank.

A token of my appreciation, forever scribed into the sands of Blake Island.

Sue is gathering our breakfast for the day.

Since this rock was unmarked on the charts, I took the liberty to name it Butt Rest Rock.

Sure, this looks like a little red thing in the rocks but it is much more than that in the eye of the artist.

Closed due to pollution.

It has take almost one month since her purchase to get this boat this far.

Proud skipper

We started off from Blake Island in an unofficial race. We even had a head-start.

This was Sue's fix for extending the genoa which had been hanging up on the lifelines.

A very artistic view of us losing the unofficial race.

We decided to race a ferry in Sinclair Inlet, we lost this one too.

We arrive in Port Orchard. Home at last.
